I am literally buzzing with excitement! Okay, you're right, when am I not.. but this one is extremely exciting! Next month, I'm going to be attending a Create & Cultivate Summit here in Houston, TX! *ahhhh!*
If you're uncultured and don't know who C&C is, allow me to educate you on one of the best style brands in the game.
"Create & Cultivate is an online community and conference for women looking to create & cultivate the career of their dreams."
When I tell you, that they literally give the best tips on building your dream career and brand while enjoying cute happy hours and letting your hair down, it is actually amazing.
And they always have the best keynote speakers and lineups with real celebs! And they also have a killer brand.
I'm serious.
As a design and brand enthusiast myself, I definitely notice these things.
And let me tell you, C&C has the most consistent, beautiful, put-together, and brilliant brand I have seen in a long time. And they do it with pizass, sass, and class.
They're just downright fun. It's so admirable really.
They are also known for just being a huge advocate for girl bosses, and women with kick-a$$ businesses. Which is just so awesome because who doesn't love boss babes.
Anyway, the conference I'm going to is called the Create & Cultivate Style Summit! And guess what? This year's focus is on BLOGGERS - *ahhh!!!!*
I actually can't believe it. Like this really just demonstrates how God is really looking out for you.
C&C came to Houston last year, but I was at another conference out of town and couldn't make it, and missed it. And I thought they wouldn't be back to Houston in a long time because they go to different cities nationally like 3 times a year.
But they're back! So soon! And the theme is Style and Fashion Bloggers, and I'm a blogger with style AND fashion! (yes i know, it's not the same thing but i also appreciate style bloggers so thats a huge plus too).
I'm so excited for the conference and the amazing panels, trend presentations, and keynote speakers they're going to have.
They are also going to have a happy hour so we can mingle with other bloggers and such! *AH!* (okay, that's my last scream - I promise)
Let's be honest.
As a creative in the corporate world, sometimes it can be hard. I have so many ideas and passions that sometimes can't be channeled into my day-to-day responsibilities.
That's why it is so important to make sure that I'm making time to collaborate and connect with fellow creatives as well as continually sharpen your skills. Plus its just so awesome to be in my element with other people who love to create as much as I do.
For those that may be hesitant to identify themselves as being a creative, that conversation ends here.
Listen, if the Bible states that God created us in his own image and God is the ultimate creator, then that means you, my friend, are also creators.
Creating isn't simply confined to arts & crafts.
God has given you breath, and gifts, and talents, so that you can create amazing relationships, and businesses, and homes, all for the glory of God.
So no matter if you're painting all day every day or you work a 9 - 5 in an accounting firm crunching numbers or you're a bus driver, you were created to create.
You just gotta figure out what your "CREATION" will be, and tap into it. It could be your own business, a blog, a charity, anything!
C&C is a perfect place for you to cultivate that creativity and be surrounded by inspiring connections. Which is why I'm super excited to sink my teeth into the great things they have planned.
